Claire Engvall has been writing books since elementary school, when her teacher would let her and her friend leave class to go to the back room and write their book, “The Egyptian Cluez.” (Yes, it was really spelled with a “z”. They thought it was cool.)

Since then, she’s been building worlds and writing books no matter how busy she was with school or clubs. Claire completed the NaNoWriMo challenge five times before she turned eighteen. Now, she’s put aside the rush to really focus on getting her books prepared to submit for publication.

Claire grew up in Washington and moved to Utah to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Games at the University of Utah and minor in Creative Writing. She intends multiple career avenues related to writing in addition to publishing her books. These include game writing, book editing, scriptwriting, and journalism.
